"note" VOSA only allow one partial retest after which a full retest would be required, but if you have any doubts about a repair i can usually check this out before i enter the retest stage, especially where brake performance or emissions are concerned, rather than wasting the retest and then having to pay for another test fee, but in the event the retest did fail, the second full test would be charged at half the initial test fee.

If you don't have a repairer, we can arrange the repairs through Mike Allen Autocare, Mike is independent from me but operates from the same premises, if mike is too busy or you so wish, there are a couple of repairers that we deal with that we can introduce you to, but i can usually give you an idea on the repair cost you may expect, If on the other hand you wish to repair the vehicle yourself that fine too, and i can usually give you a rough idea on whats needed to fix it, if you need your vehicles trouble codes retrieved (usually emissions or abs issues) then Mike Allen Autocare has the diagnostic equipment to do this.

                   "Don't Forget"

Its a free retest, so why pay someone to check your car over before the Mot,

Just bring the vehicle for test, if it fails, the reasons for rejection will be on the VT30, along with any advisories which would be on an accompanying VT32, you can hand these to your repairer, saves a lot of time and quite often a lot of money, remember the MOT is the minimum legal requirements laid out by VOSA for those items required to be tested under section 45 of the road traffic act 1988.

"Modified and lowered vehicles"

We have a recessed lift, therefore no worries for lowered vehicles, we have been testing modified and performance vehicles since i started in 1996, never had any issues.

 "Do you require us to pick up your vehicle and return it after its MOT"

As long as its within reasonable distance, and we have enough notice, then there should be no problem at all, although there would be a small charge, just tell us where its to be picked up from and we can give you a price.

            Welshpool Autofit is a class 4 Mot station and was established in 1989, I worked at Autofit as an Mot tester for a couple of years before taking over as a partner and eventually the sole owner/proprietor in 1996, in the past sixteen years I've tested more than eighteen thousand vehicles, and having tested that amount of vehicles comes experience and knowledge that can only be benefit to you.

            I am very pleased to have welcomed my Daughter Marni in to the business earlier this year, Marni is helping in every areas of the business, which makes everything much more efficient, therefore opening the door to hopefully gain and please yet even more customers than ever before.
